Mission

Personalized legal counsel invested in your business success.

Philosophy

Choosing the Right Partner

Regardless of where your business is in its journey, many law firms are just interested in riding along, indifferent about your destination, as long as your progress results in more billable hours.

At Meridien Law, we have a different philosophy.

1. Ride or Die.  Sometimes our startup clients have cash flow issues, or sometimes a small business is at a crossroads or crisis and needs more than just financial assistance.  We are uniquely positioned to help with expertise and compassion.  When you become our client, we see it through.  Your business can be both your dream and your livelihood, and entrusting us with your pride of ownership deserves loyalty and extraordinary effort.

2. Holistic Legal Advice.  Our principals have broad and deep legal experience and are business owners and community leaders as well .  While many lawyers will tell you that the answer to any question is, “It depends,” what they may not tell you is that your best solution goes beyond expedient legal options.  We take the time to understand our clients and provide informed choices so that the lines and risks are known and you can be truly courageous.

3. Present Value.  Every dollar counts, especially when you expect your investments to compound.  We strive for affordability, frugality, and flexibility, but we especially want to ensure that our services are force multipliers.  As your business grows, we are confident that the worth of our relationship will become increasingly invaluable.  Getting a return on your business should also mean getting a return on your legal strategy.

Hans Huang

Of Counsel

Hans H. Huang is an accomplished legal and real estate attorney offering over 25 years of strategic guidance to developers, investment firms, and general contractors across multiple jurisdictions.  In his role at Meridien Law, he leads due diligence, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance initiatives for acquisitions, financing, development, construction, and asset management.  Licensed in North Carolina and Georgia with prior in-house authorization by the Florida Bar, he specializes in risk mitigation, complex transactions, and technology-driven process improvements to streamline lease negotiations and asset management workflows.  He collaborates with clients to develop tailored legal strategies and implement process improvements that enhance their operational efficiency and promote sustainable growth.

Holding a Bachelors degree in political science and Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina, Mr. Huang has served as a senior advisor and chief legal officer to various university and nonprofit organizations.   As an attorney and partner in major law firms and as in-house and general counsel to billion dollar corporations, his leadership and legal skillset spans from transactional issues to litigation matters.

Mr. Huang organizes the Global Legal Explorers meetup, taking fellow lawyers and legal enthusiasts off the beaten path across Asia and Italy to tackle real-world legal matters.  Drawing on his many years of corporate, real estate, and cross-border law experience, he curates pop-up clinics and regulatory deep dives that spark fresh perspectives.  Each adventure balances hands-on workshops—drafting contracts in a Tokyo izakaya or negotiating terms over pasta on the Amalfi Coast or on the beaches of Thailand—with local immersion, from night-market explorations to vineyard dinners.  Fueled by wanderlust (and plenty of espresso), Hans is all about building community, swapping expertise, and proving that the best classroom is the world itself.
